'Tour de France' Final day

July 26th 2009

Charles de Gaulle (1890-1970) a well respected former President overlooking the crowd with "le Tour de France' live on the big screen.

This parade(le caravan) before the riders arrive was the largest by far I have ever seen.

The photo below was taken only 1/4 of the way into it or so.

The riders coming down the Champs-Élysées on one of 8 times.

Andy Schleck in the white with the Skoda cycle jersey. Contodor also in this image but obscured.

A display after the race with lots of young children riding in the yellow jersey.

Team Garmin ; all the teams come around after the race and ceromonies finished and the crowds were still big (after one hour of waiting time from the race concluding).

The crowds were this deep or more on both sides of the 3.6km 'Avenue des Champs-Élysées'.

The Astana team with three riders in the top 6 overall.

L ' Arc de Triomphe as night begins to fall ; the team photos were taken with this in the background.

From this shop on Avenue des Champs-Élysées you could believe Lance Armstrong won this years 'Le Tour de France'.
