Chase pack on the 2nd of 8 laps.

Kiwi Elvery come off the bike and just grabbed this one resting on a tree nearby.

Funny story but he got disqualified for his actions.

Obviously his bike was damged too badly to continue with in the crash.

1st run lap and Reed ahead of the big names here.

Chasing down the breakaways.

Brownlee clocked in a 29min 04sec 10kms today.

So now for a short 'TriathlonShots' review of the weekend.

Brownlee certainly is 'the real deal' when it come to triathlon and has totally dominated the ITU world series. His consistent performances show maturity beyond what his age would suggest.

I asked a question at the press conference reagrding team work on the bike leg and he had a very articulate answer. Basically he answered that they would do what was neccessary to secure the title and bike team work can be part of that. So I wasn't that surprised when I read later that both his parents are Doctors. Basically I think that there is plenty of knowledge to bring together to succeed consistently in triathlon.

Oh yeah, the weekend was one not to be missed and Australia really is the 'lucky country'. No wonder it is used as a Summer base for many of the top elites.
